Fletcher & Milly

Fletcher (Left) & Milly (Right)

Fletcher just turned 1 year old and this also meant we had to go back to the heart surgeon for a check up. To my surprise (and joy) the surgeon discovered that Fletcher's heart pressure has actually gone down. He will still need to stay on his medication for the rest of his life, but it means he will live a much longer life. This also reinforced that I was giving him a full and happy life with enough exercise, good food and a new playmate....yes, I decided to get another mini Schnauzer soon after Fletcher's second operation. Meet Milly!

I took Fletcher along when I first looked at the puppy litter. Milly was not scared of Fletcher and her curiosity with him had me sold. Milly is now 9 months and they are peas in a pod. They share everything (except bones!), play a lot and generally just hang in their pack. I can certainly see just how different females and males are in this breed and I have a great combination! It is a very happy home.

MEG: WHEN BUYING A NEW PUPPY OF ANY BREED ALWAYS HAVE THE BREEDER CONFIRM THE SALE IS SUBJECT TO A HEALTHY VET CHECK, AND HAVE HIM CHECKED BY A VET WITHIN 72 HOURS TO ENSURE HE HAS A HEALTHY HEART AND NO OTHER PROBLEMS!
