Jessie’s Litter DOB 19 February 2009
Jessie had 4 babies – all girls, and all pepper and salt coloured.
Jessie’s litter on the day of birth
This is Jessie’s first litter. She had a very quick and easy birth. In fact, she was so small, we weren’t even sure she was truly pregnant until about a week beforehand!
You can learn more about Jessie here.
The father of this litter is “Lex”, imported from the USA. You can learn more about him here.
These puppies will be ready to go home with their new owners on 17 April.
Mia’s Litter DOB 20 February 2009
One day after Jessie, after keeping us up with her noisy nest building for two nights in a row, Mia finally had her 7 puppies – 1 boy and 6 girls.
Mia’s puppies opened their eyes at 11 days of age. This little girl is yawning.

Puppy Photo Updates
Puppies at 3 weeks old, using their sister as a pillow.
First eating lesson – pups at 3 1/2 weeks old.
(They all passed with flying colors!)
Now they’re 4 1/2 weeks old:
The pups have graduated to a puppy playpen now. As you can see, they are becoming quite active!
But still need their naps…..
Now the pups are nearing 6 weeks old – almost time for their third wormer, and first vaccination.
They love to play and romp about, have needle-sharp teeth and are very nosy!
Now they’re old enough to come for walks with us and the older dogs. They just love to play and romp around our farm.
As you can see, they’ve all settled in well at their new homes.
Gypsy’s Litter DOB 13 February 2010
This is Gypsy’s litter and she had 7 babies – 3 girls and 4 boys; 5 black, 1 pepper and salt, and 1 black and silver.
In this video they are just 2 days old; all doing well and gaining weight. Tomorrow is dew-claw removal day (ouch!).
Their daddy is our gorgeous black boy “Jet”.
Here they are again at 11 days old:
In this next video, they are 22 days old:
At half the size of the others, the little salt and pepper puppy is the classic runt of the litter. At this stage she has a tough time competing with her littermates for a good spot at the milk bar but is strong and holding her own. In another week I will be introducing the puppies to solid food, and she will no longer have to compete for a good feed!
Here they are again, at 5 weeks of age:
