Two girls from her first litter

Two girls from her first litter

I have succeeded in breeding a lovely litter from my Red Salt & Pepper lady and have kept the darkest daughter for the future. She had 4 Red Salt & Pepper males, 3 Red Salt & Pepper females and 1 salt & pepper female in November 2009.

I will only have 2 dogs in our family as I like to give them a lot of exercise and individual attention.

Mum has the most beautiful shine to her soft coat. She loves herding our farm animals, going for walks and bike rides, and trains really easily. She chases any rats and mice and is a great watch dog too. She loves a frequent bath – though most of the time it’s with just warm water to wash the mud off picked up on the farm. She enjoys a brush and cuddles.

She is on the Limited register like the stud dog I used. How I wish I could register her pups on the limited register too! Well in fact I wish the colour was recognised for the full register.

The pups can go on the associate register but – as I understand – need to be desexed for Obedience Agility competitions to aquire points.

What a shame to lose these rare genes just because of “color-prejudice”! Mum and Dad both have CD and CDX’s in their papers.

Hope to hear from others interested in Liver/chocolate/Red Schauzers.
