That extra time allows us to give your puppy a complete all-round education during one of the most critical stages of their development: the socialisation window.
From structured obedience training to real-world social outings and gentle crate conditioning, every puppy we send overseas has already received weeks of hands-on, personalised preparation—setting them up to become calm, confident, and well-mannered companions from day one.
Behind every puppy I pretrain to send locally or overseas is dozens of hours of hands-on care, training, and travel preparation. And to ensure we can devote the highest level of attention, we only take on a maximum of 2 puppies at a time. So if you are keen, be sure to secure your spot early!
This isn’t just about getting a puppy on a plane—it’s about raising a confident young dog who arrives happy, well-adjusted, and ready to become a beloved member of your family.
From the moment your puppy is born, I’m working to ensure they’re prepared for life in the wider world.
Here’s just some of what goes into that:
Your puppy doesn’t just arrive toilet-trained by luck—it’s the result of weeks of round-the-clock care, including:
By 12 weeks, your puppy is already well on their way to being a well-mannered young dog.
Miniature Schnauzers are intelligent but can be reactive without the right early experiences.
That’s why – with every trained Miniature Schnauzer puppy – I dedicate over 10 hours to:
Bert works hard to socialize our puppies
This hands-on, consistent approach means your puppy arrives curious, not fearful, and ready to bond with your family and environment.
Miniature Schnauzers are intelligent and alert, but they can also be reactive without proper early-life socialisation. Research shows that the most critical window for shaping a puppy’s temperament is between 3 and 14 weeks of age—a period when puppies are most receptive to new experiences. Dogs who miss out on structured socialisation during this window are at significantly higher risk of developing fear-based behaviours, including reactivity and aggression. For breeds like the Miniature Schnauzer, early exposure to children, other animals, varied environments, and positive reinforcement is essential to raising a sociable, stable adult dog. This is exactly why we invest so many hours into structured training and social outings before your puppy even boards the plane.
I personally support the requirements of every aspect of the travel process to minimize stress and ensure the best start for your puppy:
I only ship puppies on direct international flights to avoid stressful layovers, long delays, or overnight crate stays.
Your puppy travels comfortably, with a special pheromone to calm them, and familiar bedding smells, and arrives clean, calm, and prepared to settle into your home.
I personally speak with every puppy buyer before their puppy travels, to ensure you feel fully prepared and supported. From feeding routines to crate training tips, early obedience, and what to expect during the first few days—I make sure you have all the information you need to continue the great foundation your puppy has already received. My goal is to set both you and your puppy up for success, right from the start.
This isn’t just about logistics—it’s about raising your puppy the right way.
From the 3am toilet breaks to the hours of social outings and cross-town vet trips, I put in the time so your puppy starts life healthy, secure, and socially confident.
This isn’t just boarding—it’s a complete pre-departure education during one of the most important developmental windows in your puppy’s life.
By the time your puppy reaches you, they’ve been nurtured, trained, and socialised to handle new experiences with calm confidence.
We don’t cut corners. We don’t outsource care. And we don’t treat your puppy like cargo.
We treat them like they’re one of ours—because until they meet you, they are.
